Luxo Corporation

Luxo Corporation is a supplier of high quality lighting products. The company needed a new

catalog combining its newly redefined task, undercabinet and architectural product lines.

The introduction explains the basics of good lighting and is followed by a quick-reference

chart for identifying accessories applicable for each product. The second section, and

majority of the catalog, is designed to provide a useful spec sheet on each product and is

broken down into different product segments which are differentiated by various color

headers at the top of each page.

Luxo Corporation has been designing and manufacturing lighting products for more than

75 years.  To illustrate some of its more noteworthy milestones, the company wanted to develop

a timeline which could be handed out to customers as a way of reinforcing its experience

in the industry.   The progression on the front cover of this trifold is a visual representation

of Luxo’s original L-1 task light (1937) “morphing” into the company’s latest task light,

Ovelo, (2010). The back cover includes a collage of 1940’s factory images and modern-day

product application shots.  The result is a reference piece for both employees and

customers alike.

This binder foldout is being used to help launch Luxo's new Solaris undercabinet task light.

Luxo needed to include a Design Comparison section which would illustrate what makes their

product superior to the competition. The layout of this piece combines information found

in a typical brochure (inside) with a user-friendly spec sheet (on the back).

Luxo Corporation needed a foldout to go into a binder for the Euroluce in Milan, Italy.

I was provided with the product photos and was asked to give the foldout a design

suited to the european market.

A brochure was made to promote and provide information on Luxo's Magnification

Lighting. This brochure illustrates the variety of magnification products, their capabilities,

accessories, and magnification specs.

Katarina Boudreaux - Little Flower Music

For Katarina's new album "MIstral", I was provided with the photos for the cover

and inside panel. I was also given over 60 images taken during the recording process from

which I chose 15 to make the tiled collage on the back cover. Most of the images were

black and white so I added a little yellow to the images in Adobe Photoshop so they

would match the tone of the front cover photo. I also created more background to

the front and inside panel photos in order to cover the areas effectively for the

4-panel digipac layout. I made the red ribbon and "Mistral" logo in Adobe Illustrator.

Armstrong Homes

Armstrong Homes has been building high quality custom homes since 1978. I was asked

to produce ads for several publications in Ocala, FL. I was provided with photographs

from an architectural photographer and took some of my own photography of the

exteriors. Here is a collection of ads that were placed in the local magazines and newspaper.

Bradford Homes

Bradford Homes is a builder of fine custom homes in Ocala, FL. They needed to promote

rewards to real estate agents for the sale of their homes. I was provided with the photo of

the development's entrance, which I chose to wash out in the background in order to make

the front sign stand out. I used my own photography of the homes' exteriors, and the

interior shot provided, to design postcards and flyers for this incentive to the realtors

in the local area.
